ArtAccess Open Studio programs provide opportunities for children, teens, and adults with disabilities to engage with their peers and expand artistic interests through art-making and gallery exploration activities at the Queens Museum. Each month explores a new theme and different activities. We adapt materials and activities for participants’ needs. You can note any needs or accommodations to artaccess@queensmuseum.org.
Programs take place in person at the Museum:
Museum Explorers (recommended for ages 8-12)
Join us monthly on the first Saturday from 11:30am-1:00pm.
Open Studio for Teens and Adults (recommended for teens and adults)
Join us monthly on the first Saturday from 2:00-4:00pm.
Participants must be accompanied by a family member or care partner to the museum and throughout the workshop.
The Museum offers free parking with limited spaces, along with public transportation options. Review our Social Narrative to help prepare for your visit.

Invitamos a los visitantes con algún tipo de discapacidad y a sus familias a que participen en nuestras actividades artísticas, orientadas por parte de nuestros educadores y de los artistas docentes del museo. Cada mes se explora un tema nuevo y se organizan actividades diferentes (las actividades del sábado se repiten en los programas del domingo). Pueden inscribirse para varias semanas. Adaptamos los materiales y las actividades a las necesidades de los participantes. Puede anotar cualquier tipo de necesidad o adaptación a artaccess@queensmuseum.org.
