About the Summer Youth Arts Project
The Summer Youth Arts Project is a new summer intensive arts program aimed at Queens middle school students. Over six weeks, youth participants worked closely with artist educators to conceive, develop and produce their own personal art projects. In addition, youth closely studied exhibitions at the Queens Museum, visited other art institutions in New York while also working on foundational skills in the visual arts such as drawing, design and sculpture.
