Please join us for an opening celebration of the Queens Museum’s Spring 2023 exhibitions: Tracey Rose: Shooting Down Babylon and Aliza Nisenbaum: Queens, Lindo y Querido.

The afternoon celebration will include exhibition walkthroughs with the artists; a reception featuring live music from DJ Rekha, drinks and food from the new Unisphere Cafe by the August Tree, and drop-in family art making.

SCHEDULE:

1-4pm: Drop-in Family Art Making Workshops

2-5pm: Reception featuring DJ Rekha playing dub, hip-hop and South Asian Diasporic music. Open bar (while supplies last) with beer from Queens Museum beer sponsor EBBS and lunch boxes for purchase with specialities from the new Unisphere Cafe by The August Tree.

3pm: Queens, Lindo y Querido exhibition walkthrough with Aliza Nisenbaum*

4pm: Shooting Down Babylon exhibition walkthrough with Tracey Rose*

*Simultaneous English – Spanish interpretation will be provided

Venga a celebrar con nosotrxs la inauguración de las exposiciones Tracey Rose: Shooting Down Babylon y Aliza Nisenbaum: Queens, Lindo y Querido.

La celebración en la tarde incluirá recorridos por la exposición con los artistas; una recepción con música en vivo de DJ Rekha, bebidas y comida del nuevo Unisphere Café por August Tree y talleres de arte familiar sin cita previa.

HORARIOS:

1-4pm: Talleres de arte para toda la familia

2-5pm: Recepción con DJ Rekha tocando dub, hip-hop y música de la diáspora del sur de Asia. Barra libre (hasta agotar existencias) con cerveza del patrocinador EBBS del Queens Museum y almuerzo en cajas a la venta con especialidades del nuevo Unisphere Cafe de The August Tree.
