Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is partnering with Queens Museum to continue its Queens community celebration of Creative Arts Therapy week. After exhibiting at the hospital the exhibit will travel to Queens Museum from March 25-26, 2017. We are excited to celebrate the power of the arts in the borough of Queens. Everyone is encouraged to stop by and check out the art created on the psych units of the hospital.

At Jamaica Hospital, Creative Arts Therapy is a vital part of the treatment of mental illness, in conjunction with medication therapy, psychotherapy, and community support. This year’s exhibit explores the processes our patients and our staff engage in – both together and individually – as we work to foster new insights, more meaningful connections, and better mental well-being for all.
