New Immigrant Community Empowerment, National Day Laborers Organizing Network and Project Luz invite you to the People’s Immigrant Workers Assembly.

An afternoon at the Queens Museum to engage the community in an open dialogue through art expression on critical issues affecting immigrant workers, like wage theft and consumer fraud.

In our partnership gallery, peruse the tables of different organization at our Immigrant Workers Fair. Then meet us in the theater to enjoy a worker-led play on employment agency fraud, "Ana Busca Trabajo,” learn about wage theft from the voice of the workers, and enjoy a photo exhibit from the workshop "Use Your Cell Phone.” Enjoy our drop-in photo booth and hands-on artmaking family workshops. The event will culminate in a tour of the Panorama of the City of New York through Day Laborers Eyes, focusing on locations where day laborers wait for work, as well worker’s centers, and important immigrant rights centers throughout the city.

New Immigrant Community Empowerment, National Day Laborers Organizing Network and Project Luz los invita a una tarde para unir a la comunidad en un diálogo abierto sobre problemas que afectan a los trabajadores inmigrantes en NY a través del arte. Visite el teatro para disfrutar la obra Ana Busca trabajo creada por los trabajadores acerca del Fraude con agencias de empleo.
Aprenda acerca de Robo de Salario de los propios trabajadores a través de video y publicaciones creadas por trabajadores. Disfrute de las fotografías tomadas por los trabajadores en el taller “Use su celular para sus derechos.” 

Disfrute de talleres de arte para la familia y retratos gratuitos. Lo esperamos en el Careforce Superheroes Photo Booth y aprenda sobre el creciente movimiento de trabajadoras domésticas. Baile en la disco de las trabajadoras domesticas con Marisa Jahn.  Aprenda e infórmese sobre los problemas que afectan a los trabajadores inmigrantes en la feria de organizaciones y en el tour del panorama.
