MUSICA EN VIVO Y DJ

• Matalascallando presenta una mezcla ecléctia de ritmos andinos con trazos de reggae y cumbia que logran llevar el alma de las montañas a lo más directo de tu corazón.
• DJ del Colectivo Guaracha: Sonido Chichadélico
• Spanglish Fly es en parta una banda, en parte una celebración: 11 músicos inician una fiesta que pronto se contagia a la audiencia. Boogaloo! es una mezcla de ritmos latinos, soul y R&B  que nació de los clubes, las esquinas callejeras, las radios y las salas de billar en el Spanish Harlem “El Barrio”de los años 60. Esta es una irresistible mezcla de rtimos Afro-Caribeños con el fervor, sentimiento y armonías del espíritu de los 60s.

• Comida para el alma: talleres de comida saludable por la experta nutricionista Ana María Quispe! Habrán muestras de comida disponibles!
• Bailoterapia con Mujeres en Movimiento de IMI Corona

TALLERES DE ARTE Y TRADICIONES

• Talleres familiares en quechua con el Programa de Quechua de la universidad NYU- Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos y Caribeños.
• Crochet classes by Carmen Tecero from IMI Corona
• Embroid classes by Mercedes Ojeda from IMI Corona
• Puppets con tecnicas de origami, para jugar con los dedos y con bolsas de papel.

LIVE PERFORMANCES AND DJ:

• Matalascallando brings an eclectic blend of Andean rhythms with traces of Reggae and Cumbia that will deliver mountain soul messages straight to your heart.
• DJ de Colectivo Guaracha: Sonido Chichadélico
• Spanglish Fly is part band, part celebration: 11 musicians igniting a party that quickly spreads to the audience. Boogaloo! that mix of Latin and soul/R&B music that emerged from the clubs, the street corners, the transistor radios and the pool halls of 1960s Spanish Harlem, a/k/a “El Barrio”–an irresistible hybrid that blends Afro-Caribbean rhythms with the fervor, the feeling, and the harmonics of 60s-era soul. 

WORKSHOPS FOR WELLNESS:

• Food for the soul: Healthy food workshop by the expert nutritionist in Andean food Ana Maria Quispe, food samples will be available!
• Dance therapy with Mujeres en Movimiento

ART MAKING TABLES:

• Quechua family workshops by the Quechua program at NYU Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Learn the idiom of the Andes with games and crafts!
