06.28.14, 4:00 pm

On the 210th anniversary of the creation of the Citadel Henry , it is important to revisit the Haitian National Parks and evaluate their importance from the perspective of a sustainable development. The architecture of the Citadel, the Sans Souci Palace and the Gardens of the Queen (Site des Ramiers) will be assessed from a tri-dimensional point of view: architectural, ecological and garden design perspective. During the First Section of the Project,we will focus on the aesthetic tradition of the Northern Region of Haiti in Painting, with appropriate visual documents .In the second section, the focus will be on the analysis of the National Park of Haiti with the participation of Frédérick Mangone, Henry Robert Jolibois, and Christime Chenet, architects having a valuable experience in the Restoration and the Conservation of e Haitian National Park, from the tri-dimensional perspective evoked above. At the end, a Tribute will be paid to Max Ewald, Frederic Mangones, and Daniel Elie, three major architects who have enormously contributed to the development of The Haitian Garden Design and Architectural Restoration and Conservation in Haiti.
