During this 8-week workshop, students will create a painting on silk using traditional color painting materials and technique. Students will research visual languages of Minhwa and learn the basic technique of traditional color painting on paper to then apply those techniques to paint on silk primed with rabbit skin glue.
The workshop will have a demonstration and discussion about how to develop a creative artwork departing from traditional painting.

Participants will enhance their understanding of new materials and the relation between tradition and creation in this workshop.

All materials will be provided.

창작의 관계에 관해 숙고해 볼것입니다.

퀸스 뮤지엄에서 제공하는 이번 8주간의 워크샵에서, 참가자는
기본 견화기법을 바탕으로 작품을 완성하게 될것입니다. 참가자들은
민화의 시각적 표현과 채색화 기본 기법을 익히고, 아교포수된 화견에 그림을 그리게 될것입니다.
워크샵은 선생님의 시범과 함께 전통을 바탕으로 창작을 하는 과정에
대한 끊임없이 대화를 바탕으로 합니다.
