Event - Keith Haring Teen Rally Day

Keith Haring Teen Rally Day

05.31.14, 12:00 pm

The Queens Teens invite youth from around NYC to enjoy a free day of fun activities. There will be selfie contests (#QueensTeens) that invite you to explore different exhibitions on view in the Museum, a live DJ to get you moving, artmaking to engage your creative side and games to get you meeting new people. Be prepared to participate in some public art experiments outdoors and indoors. Bring your friends from school and the neighborhood. Meet the teens who designed this program and learn how you can join too.

Queens Teens is a weekly youth internship program at the Queens Museum. Students are exposed to the inner workings of a museum. Teens also observe, discuss and make art together. Interested youth are strongly encouraged to apply for next year’s program beginning in the fall. For more information, visit the Queens Teens section of our website or email: tmiller@queensmuseum.org.

Keith Haring Teen Rally Day is supported by a lead grant from the Keith Haring Foundation. Programs in Queens Teens are supported by grants from The Pinkerton Foundation and William T. Grant Foundation. Additional support provided by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
