The Queens Museum invites families to join us for a drop-in art workshop with Yoandy Rizo Fiallo one of the creators of Entre Fronteras: An Architectural Intervention.

“€œOur country is built both on and off the island. In this exhibition, Cuba opens its chest, still under construction, with scaffolds and props to show its most intimate and visceral feelings, because the issues of migration must be understood from the heart, not the head.”€

In these free drop-in hands-on workshops, families and children will explore Entre Fronteras with architect and artist Yoandy Rizo Fiallo, learn about his artwork and get to build their own sculptures. Workshop is free with museum admission (suggested admission) and no registration is required but participation will be on first-come first-served basis.

Entre Fronteras/Between Borders: An Architectural Intervention is supported by grants from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund and the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation. Additional support from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.

En este taller gratuito, las familias y sus niños explorarán Entre Fronteras con el arquitecto y artista, Yoandy Rizo Fiallo, aprenderán acerca de su obra y construirán sus propias esculturas. El taller es gratuito y está en incluído con a admisión del museo. (Cantidad sugerida) No se necesita pre regristrarse pero hay cupo limitado.
