Digitize your World’s Fair Photos and Souvenirs with the Queens Memory Project

06.07.15, 1:00 pm

Make your memories of the World’s Fairs part of history and get your family photos digitized for free!

In conjunction with the World’s Fair Anniversary celebration, staff from the Queens Memory Project will scan your photographs, postcards and other memorabilia and save them to a thumbdrive you can take home. Visit us on the main floor of the Queens Museum where we’ll be screening historic photographs from the 1939 and 1964’s World Fairs from our collections!

The Queens Memory Project is a dynamic testament of collective memory for the residents of Queens, New York; the most diverse county in the United States. The interviews and archival records gathered for the Project from many sources document the borough’s people and places; their differences, their changes over time, and their strong ties to one another.

Location: First floor atrium, in front of the glass stairs.

Free with Museum admission (suggested admission) and open to the public.
