From Here to Haiti, Ltd. (FHTH) is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity based in New York. FHTH was formed in the aftermath of the earthquake of 2010 to respond to the need for repair of non-governmental places of public assembly such as clinics, schools, churches, and the like and focuses its efforts in the provinces where small villages are in most need of help. Working with the local community, FHTH creates employment opportunities and promotes self-sufficiency for the people of Haiti through that repair work.

Through a slide presentation, the audience will accompany FHTH through a recent project from start to finish, demonstrating the efficaciousness with which it works with the community to accomplish the task. In addition, three young volunteers will recount their experience of helping a community a world away. Question and answer period will follow.
