YoU Community Partners
At the center of the Year of Uncertainty (YoU) is a cohort of creative interlocutors—established and emerging artists, community organizations, and specialists across disciplines—that will become a part of the fabric of the Queens Museum. Working together with staff across departments and our stakeholders, these thinkers will inform and participate in a deep reconsideration of museum pedagogy and infrastructure.
Nine Community Partners from across the borough will be provided resources to co-create content and deepen connections between their stakeholders and Queens Museum. They include organizations tackling gender-justice; collectivity around mental health; environmental justice; youth enrichment; gun violence prevention and intervention; LGBTQ+ activism; and civil rights for TGNB people and sex workers. Both the Artists-In-Residence and the Community Partners were selected from a robust open call and evaluation process.
