Jim Paladino, a Queens native, grew up in Maspeth and Middle Village, attending St Mary’s of Winfield, St Francis Prep & St Johns School of Law, and his parents still live in the Middle Village home his mother grew up in. Mr. Paladino earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany, his Juris Doctorate from St.  John’s University School of Law, and his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. Mr. Paladino is admitted to the State Bar of New York and New Jersey and is a member of the New  York State Bar Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).  

 

Mr. Paladino serves as President & Executive Managing Director of South Dakota Planning Company in New York City. South Dakota Planning Company (SDPC) is an estate planning and  trust advisory firm for the wealthy, and a sister company of South Dakota Trust Company LLC. SDPC is responsible for business development, sales, marketing and technical support, as well as external communications, speeches, publications, trust planning and consulting to support South Dakota Trust Company (SDTC). SDTC, an independent trust company headquartered in Sioux Falls, SD, is a national trust boutique specializing in providing trust administration for high-net worth individuals.  

 

Mr. Paladino serves on the Board of Directors of both South Dakota Trust Company, LLC, and South Dakota Planning Company. In addition, Mr. Paladino previously served as Corporate  Counsel Liaison Officer to the Individual Tax & Private Client Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and is a long-standing member of the Board of Directors of the Gotham Condominium, where he lives with his wife and two children in Manhattan.
