Heather Reyes currently oversees a series of large-scale permanent art commissions for a new building currently in development in Queens, part of a partnership celebrating the museum’s 50th anniversary in 2022. Most recently she was an exhibition producer at The Shed, where she coordinated projects by renowned artists including Tony Cokes, Agnes Denes, Oscar Murillo, and Howardena Pindell. Reyes has also worked in exhibition coordination at El Museo del Barrio, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Bronx Museum of the Arts. Her work on Ecuadorian painter Camilo Egas was published by The New School in a recent compendium of essays devoted to the institution’s permanent collection. A Queens native, Reyes is working towards completing her MA in Art History at Hunter College; she holds a BA in Art History and Spanish from Fordham University.
