As a Museum Experience Ambassador, Caro Varela provides a joyful and welcoming experience to visitors of the Queens Museum with their knowledge of its history and current exhibitions. They enjoy having conversations in community that bring people from diverse backgrounds together. Having graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Visual Arts, they hope to continue making art that is intergenerational and socially engaged. They hope to potentially pursue a masters in art and social action, where they can continue building in their neighborhood of Queens.
