Amari-Grey Johnson joined the Queens Museum in May 2023. She provides administrative and curatorial support to the Museum’s exhibitions and collaborates with communities and institutions towards public programs and partnerships. Prior to the Queens Museum, she was Coordinator of Teen Programs at Brooklyn Children’s Museum and member of Qualeasha Wood Studio, where she assisted exhibitions at Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, London, and the Studio Museum in Harlem. As a multidisciplinary artist and researcher, she has held partnerships and fellowships with Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and the Mellon Mays Foundation. As an experienced editor and author, she has contributed to exhibition publications for the Brooklyn Museum and written for Studio Magazine, Columbia Journal of Literary Criticism, and The Kitchen. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland and New York City, she received her BA in Art, Film, Visual Studies at Harvard University.
