Studio Artist Woomin Kim in her studio at the Queens Museum

You are invited to the Queens Museum Winter Open Studios to meet our newly selected artists-in-residence, coinciding with the third Queens International 2018 Public Programs. Seven studio artists/artist collectives: Jeannine Han/Daniel Riley, Woomin Kim, Xin Liu, Iman Raad, Jennifer May Reiland, Lachell Workman and The Room of Spirit and Time (Taro Masushio, Xiaofei Mo, Cici Wu and Wang Xu ), along with Social Practice Queens (part of Queens College MFA Program), will open their studios in the Museum Studio Wing from 1-4pm.

The Queens Museum Studio Program is one of a very few to be on site inside a US museum. The program offers highly subsidized, two-year-long term studios for the development of new work, and offers opportunities to create a community of artists. The Queens Museum Studio Program will soon announce the curator chosen for the first Curator-in-Residence, so please stay tuned.

The Studio Program at the Queens Museum is made possible in part by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Major funding for the Queens Museum is generously provided by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
