In collaboration with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, on September 11, 2019, Queens Museum will host a one-day screening of Wolfgang Staehle’s 2001, a dual channel video which tragically captured the approach of the hijacked plane Flight 11 and its impact. Days prior, Staehle had set up unmanned webcams in a Brooklyn location for a project conveying the predictable normalcy of life. Instead, those cameras chronicled the transformation of a routine workday into a city under siege.

2001 will be screened in real-time throughout the day from 7 am to 7 pm, free to the public.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum will screen Wolfgang Staehle’s 2001 in partnership with cultural institutions throughout all five boroughs of New York City and in New Jersey including St. John the Divine Cathedral , Brooklyn Historical Society, Queens Museum, Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Monmouth University.

En colaboración con el 9/11 Memorial & Museum, el 11 de septiembre de 2019, Queens Museum realizará una proyección de un día de Wolfgang Staehle’s 2001, un video de doble canal que capturó trágicamente el enfoque del avión secuestrado Flight 11 y su impacto.
