The Queens Museum is pleased to help host the New York City Department of Education’s 2016 Queens Borough Arts Festival.

The 2016 Queens Borough Arts Festival will showcase and celebrate the arts in Districts 24-30 and Queens District 75 schools. The Borough Arts Festival, sponsored by Chancellor Carmen Fariña and the NYCDOE, will feature a visual arts exhibition and performances from PreK -12 grade students. This year’s festival will take place on Wednesday May 11th, 2016. The evening will open with a visual arts reception and exhibition at Queens Museum, followed by an evening of performances at Queens Theatre in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

Opening Reception, Wednesday, May 11th from 5:00-7:00pm

Performing Arts Showcase: Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the
Queens Theatre, 7:00-9:00pm

This event is free and open to the public.

We strongly urge people use public transportation if possible. Parking is free but fills quickly. There will be a free shuttle bus operating between 4:30-7:30PM between Mets-Willets Point and the Museum.  Click here for complete directions to the Museum.
