Join a free parent-led support group for parents and caregivers affected by autism. This parent support group will use mindfulness based approaches to explore reducing anxiety from stressful situations. Join us on select Fridays at the Queens Museum. Registration required.
Support tools will be developed for parents to share, learn and explore methods for self care and coping. This group will also develop individual goals and encourage mutual parent support for facing the myriad of issues that many families face in the special needs community.
Facilitator Jacqueline Moore is a parent of a child with special needs and has her Masters in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University. To register, please contact her at jaxbydesign@gmail.com.
Support group is designed for parents or caregivers only.
