Join a free parent-led support group for parents and caregivers affected by autism. This parent support group will use mindfulness-based approaches to reducing anxiety in stressful situations. Join us on select Fridays at the Queens Museum. Registration is required.
Support tools will be developed for parents to share, learn and explore methods for self care and coping. This group will also develop individual goals and encourage support of one another in facing the myriad of issues that many families with special needs members face.
Facilitator Jacqueline Moore is a parent of a child with special needs and has her Masters in Creative Arts Therapy from Hofstra University. To register, please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This support group is designed for parents or caregivers only.
Select Fridays, 11am-12:30pm
