Our cultural celebrations return to Corona Plaza, a newly renovated public space in the heart of Corona, Queens.
Also featuring the Mercado de la Plaza: Corona Night Market with food and crafts.

Bring your entire family for an afternoon of live music, dance, art-making workshops, and an opportunity to learn about inspirational causes!

Schedule:
1:00pm – 5:00pm Corónate, community radio, and video studio, from the 111 Collective and Queens Museum

3:30pm – 4:00pm  Community activists and artists salute Corona Plaza

4:00pm – 4:30pm  Grammy-winning producer Chaco, Colombian accordionist Gregorio Uribe and Argentinian singer Solange Prat have recently came back from Montes de Maria, in rural Colombia. During their time there, they collaborated and recorded  with 82-year-old Jose De Los Reyes Campos, an accordionist and juglar (troubadour) who did not own his own accordion. Chaco, Gregorio and Solange have donated the proceedings of this performance at Queens Museum to buy an accordion to  Jose De Los Reyes.

4:00pm – 4:30pm  Chaco, productor ganador del Grammy, el acordeonista Gregorio Urube y la cantante argentina Solange Prat han regresado recientemente de Los Montes de María, área rural de Colombia. Allí ellos colaboraron y grabaron con talentosos artistas incluyendo José de Los Reyes Campos, acordeonero y juglar que no tenía su propio acordeón. Chaco, Gregorio y Solange han donado sus honorarios de esta performance para comprarle su propio acordeón al maestro José.
