Event - Montez Press Radio

Montez Press Radio

11.14.21, 12:00 pm

Join us for a day of live performances, conversations, and radio broadcasts produced by Year of Uncertainty (YoU) Program Partner Montez Press Radio! As part of this collaboration with Queens Museum, Montez Press Radio presents newly commissioned segments both in response to the Year of Uncertainty themes and highlighting the work and research of Year of Uncertainty Artists-In-Residence, Community Partners, and Co-Thinkers.

This live broadcast, on-site in the Queens Museum galleries, brings several Montez Press Radio and Queens Museum collaborators together to reflect on Queens culture and subculture through storytelling, music and dance performance, sharing family neighborhood memories, pirate radio mixing, diving into sports legacies, and more.

Due to New York State guidelines, you must show proof of vaccination to attend. Click here for more information on COVID-19 safety at Queens Museum.

On the occasion of this live broadcast, the museum will be open late for after hours performances. Be sure to check out the Year of Uncertainty: Phase II exhibitions currently on view with several galleries remaining open!

Admission is free.
