Join Year of Uncertainty (YoU) Community Partner, Malikah National, MAS Youth, the Queens Museum, and artist Vaimoana Niumeitolu to celebrate a community mural in Astoria, Queens.

Over the past months, we have been working on this youth and women-led project, serving as a creative way to imagine and build towards safety and power for our communities.

Please join us as we reveal the finished mural that dozens of community members contributed to creating. In addition to an opportunity to view the mural and hear from the organizers, there will be food, a youth open mic, and a self defense class!

1-3pm: Mural reveal, open mic, and food

3-5pm: Self defense class with Rana Abdelhamid *Please note: the self defense class is for women and girls
