Jahajee Sisters Presents their 2017 Indo-Caribbean Women’s Empowerment Summit as they kick off their 10th Anniversary under the theme: “Celebrating Indo-Caribbean Women’s Feminism: 100 Years After the Abolition of Indentureship”

  • Krystal Nandini Ghisyawan, PhD, Poet and Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Latino & Caribbean Studies at Rutgers University
  • Elizabeth Jaikaran, JD, Contributing Writer at Brown Girl Magazine and Literally, Darling
  • Lisa Outar, PhD, Independent Scholar and Editor of Indo-Caribbean Feminist Thought: Genealogies, Theories, Enactments

8:30-9pm | Cultural Performances from Indo-Caribbean Artists
