Introduction to Filmmaking:

In Intro to Filmmaking, anybody with an interest in film will learn tools to create their own film, video, or digital media. Through a combination of lessons, discussions, and creative prompts, students will explore key terms, techniques, history, and theory behind telling stories through film. We will also go over different cameras and lenses, screenwriting and storyboarding, shot composition, smartphone filmmaking technique, directing and working with actors, sound and recording devices, and how to edit and color grade.

Bio
Charlie Fischetti (they/he/she) is a genderfluid multi-disciplinary artist currently living in Queens, New York. They received their B.A. in Film from CUNY Hunter College. His mediums include video, poetry, photography, graphic design, and audio/sound design. He currently works at the Queens Museum as a Museum Experience Ambassador and freelance videographer. The main themes of their work include the intersections between humans and nature, sexuality and gender expansion, horror as a site of reclamation and liberation, and transformative justice. He has worked in arts and media nonprofits, education, and tenant/community organizing.
