This Workshop series, led by artist Cristina Ferrigno, aims to teach about zines, artist books, and the English language using immersion and learning together. It will also introduce art-related vocabulary, writing skills, and socially engaged art-making. This language exchange is intended to build community and gain cross-cultural understanding through making art together.

In addition to the craft of making Artist Books, this series will also be an introduction to collaborative art making, the distribution of information, and the distillation of ideas into booklet form.

This accessible workshop is for adults interested in book, print, and paper arts. No experience in book arts is necessary. Beginners to art welcome- intermediate comprehension, communication, and writing in English are required to participate.

Esta serie de talleres, dirigida por la artista Cristina Ferrigno, tiene como objetivo enseñar sobre fanzines, libros de artista y la lengua inglesa mediante la inmersión y el aprendizaje conjunto. También introducirá vocabulario relacionado con el arte, habilidades de escritura y creación artística socialmente comprometida. El objetivo de este intercambio lingüístico es crear comunidad y lograr un entendimiento intercultural a través de la creación artística conjunta.

Además del arte de hacer libros de artista, esta serie también será una introducción a la creación artística colaborativa, la distribución de información y la destilación de ideas en forma de folleto.

Este taller accesible está dirigido a adultos interesados en las artes del libro, la impresión y el papel. No es necesario tener experiencia en el arte del libro. Los principiantes en el arte son bienvenidos- se requiere comprensión intermedia, comunicación y escritura en inglés para participar.
