The Henry George School of Social Science’s Human Mobility Program invites you to the forum “Religions and Pastoral Action in Reference to Immigration – Proposals for the Development of an Immigrant Theology.” The forum is brought to you with the support of the Ecuadorian Consulate and Casa Ecuatoriana and be presented in Spanish with English translation.

The purpose of this forum is to educate the participants on the role of religious institutions as providers of services, and facilitators in the integration process of immigrants. A panel of presenters will offer an in-depth analysis and comparative perspectives on how various religions respond to the immigration phenomenon.

La Escuela Henry George de Ciencias Sociales presenta el foro en Inmigración, Economia, y Teología: Las religiones y su acción pastoral en referencia a la inmigración – Proposiciones para la elaboración de una teología desde el Inmigrante.

El foro es ofrecido en cooperación con El Consulado de Ecuador y Casa Ecuatoriana de Nueva York.

El propósito del foro es exponer a los estudiantes y al público en general el rol que las instituciones religiosas tienen como proveedores de servicios para los inmigrantes y cómo estas instituciones ayudan a los inmigrantes en su proceso de integración en la sociedad. Se analizará cómo las diversas religiones responden al fenómeno de la inmigración, desde un punto de vista teológico.
