Join us for an exciting Family Day at the Queens Museum! This fun-filled event promises an array of engaging activities for all ages.


Event Highlights


  • 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Drop-In Art Workshops 
    Get your creative juices flowing with our drop-in art workshops led by one of our teaching artists.


  • 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm:“¡Corre, Abuelita, Run!” – A Production by New York City Children’s Theatre (RSVP Required)
    Embark on an unforgettable journey with Emily and her mom as they cheer on their Abuelita during the NYC Marathon. This bilingual interactive theater piece will transport you to the heart of the action, with performances in both English and Spanish that highlight community, language, intergenerational family relationships, and the spirit of New York City.


  • 2:00pm-4:00pm: Bilingual Museum Gallery Tours (English and Spanish)
    Our knowledgeable museum educators will lead informative and engaging tours of the museum galleries.


Please note:

  • ¡Corre, Abuelita, Run! is a 30-minute interactive theater piece for ages 2-5.
  • The show is bilingual, Spanish and English.
  • Young audience members will be invited to participate in the show. Stickers will be available to help cue actors to what level of participation your young theatergoer is comfortable with.
  • RSVP is required to attend this show.

  • 1:00 pm a 1:30 pm “¡Corre, Abuelita, Run!” – Una producción del Teatro Infantil de la Ciudad de Nueva York (Se requiere reserva previa).
    Embárcate en un viaje inolvidable con Emily y su madre mientras alientan a su abuelita durante el Maratón de Nueva York. Esta obra de teatro interactiva bilingüe te transportará al corazón de la acción, con actuaciones en inglés y español que destacan la comunidad, el lenguaje, las relaciones familiares intergeneracionales y el espíritu de la Ciudad de Nueva York.


  • 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm Visitas Bilingües a la Galería del Museo (inglés y español)
    Nuestros instruidos educadores te guiarán en visitas informativas y atractivas por las galerías del museo.


Ten en cuenta que:

  • “¡Corre, Abuelita, Run!” es una obra de teatro interactiva para edades de 2 a 5 años. Se requiere (Se requiere reserva previa).
  • La obra es bilingüe, en español e inglés.
  • Se les invitará a los miembros jóvenes de la audiencia a participar en la obra. Se proporcionarán pegatinas para ayudar a indicar a los actores el nivel de participación con el que se sienta cómodo su pequeño/a.
