We invite families to take a selfies throughout the Queens Museum with your children and then print your photos and turn them into collages into art. In this art workshop, you’ll be able to print some of your selfies, draw on them and cut and re-arrange them to make your own unique work of art to take home with you.
This family art workshop is free with museum admission (suggested admission) and open to the public. We recommend this activity for children ages 5 and up but younger children are welcome with adult support.
This workshop will take place in Studio A on the second floor near the Panorama exit. This is a drop-in workshop and no advance registration is required, however you may need to wait for for space to open.
While we encourage you to take pictures with your children throughout the museum, we do not allow selfie sticks for safety reasons. The museum only allows non-flash photography without the use of any equipment (including tripods, lights and selfie sticks).
This workshop is being led by Youth and Family Programs Coordinator Simone Satchell and our friends at Public Allies.
