授課老師將透過這個為期八周的課程，由簡單的線條、明暗以及立體感等鉛筆技法開始介紹。美術館將提館內多元的展覽內容以及空間，讓學員們透過觀察以及描繪的過程，練習素描技法和激發創作的靈感。學員們將有機會學習如何將生活中的想法、感受、以及生活點滴，透過手繪圖像紀錄在素描本上。另外學員們也會學習如何將顏色以及拼貼的技巧融入在個人的作品中。

何思瑋，台灣台中人，2011年紐約普瑞特藝術學院藝術創作碩士畢業，主修版畫。目前於紐約居住，在布魯克林的日落公園從事兒童藝術教育工作，並在曼哈頓下城的租屋博物館擔任教育導覽，帶領參觀者認識美國的移民歷史。同時，她也持續版畫創作，積極參與當地美術展覽及籌畫個人創作展。

Through this 8-week long workshop, the instructor will introduce the basic pencil drawing techniques including lines, shades and values. The participants will have the opportunity to use the Museum exhibitions as resources to practice sketching skills and generate the ideas to create. The participants will also learn how to reflect on their thoughts, feelings and daily life in drawing journals as well as gain the knowledge of applying color and collage techniques into their projects.

Szu-Wei Ho is from Taichung, Taiwan. She received her MFA degree in printmaking from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. She is currently an art educator working with children in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and also leading tours at Lower East Side Tenement Museum, telling stories of immigrants’ work, life, and journeys in New York. Meanwhile she’s trying to produce more work in etching, drawing and painting and show work in NY and internationally.
