Join us at Queens Museum for Corónate, our cultural festival that celebrates the best of Corona and Queens. This edition of Corónate, the last of the year, will take place at the Queens Museum and is in partnership with the New New Yorkers program. Bring your entire family to enjoy art-making workshops, face painting, games for kids, a showcase of works by the collective BordeAndo, a special performance by People’s Theater Project, and the opportunity to learn more about your community.

Somos Más ما بیشتر هستیم  我们不只是  We Are More – A NYC tour inspired by our stories. A multilingual performance, Comprised of People’s Theater Project (PTP) teaching artists and immigrant theater artists, the PTP Company embodies and uplifts the voices of the diverse people in Upper Manhattan, spurring them to civic and social justice activism. In a dystopian nation where people are forced to assimilate, six immigrants unite in secret to spark a joyful revolution.  The runs approximately one hour and will be followed by a twenty-minute facilitated dialogue. Devised and Performed by the People’s Theater Project Company Sol Ensemble: Carmen Barbosa, Sinny Feliz, Ursula Hellberg Kaid, Jiawen Hu, Chuk Obasi, Angie Regina, Yolanny Rodriguez, Vida Tayebati. Directed by: Zafi Dimitropoulou. Assistant Directed by Stefania Bulbarella.

Somos Más ما بیشتر هستیم 我们 不 只是 Somos más: Un recorrido por Nueva York inspirado en nuestras historias. Una actuación multilingüe, compuesta por el Proyecto de Teatro del Pueblo que enseña a artistas y artistas de teatro inmigrantes, la Compañía PTP personifica y eleva las voces de las diversas personas en el Alto Manhattan, estimulando su activismo cívico y de justicia social. En una nación distópica donde la gente se ve obligada a asimilarse, seis inmigrantes se unen en secreto para provocar una revolución alegre. Se ejecuta aproximadamente una hora y será seguido por un diálogo facilitado de veinte minutos. Diseñado e interpretado por la Compañía de Proyectos del Teatro del Pueblo Sol Ensemble: Carmen Barbosa, Sinny Feliz, Ursula Hellberg Kaid, Jiawen Hu, Chuk Obasi, Angie Regina, Yolanny Rodriguez, Vida Tayebati.
