Cool Culture helps over 50,000 families access and enjoy 90 of NYC’s world-class cultural institutions for free, providing children with experiences that improve literacy and learning. Through Cool Culture’s programs and initiatives New York City’s most diverse families access and enjoy New York City’s rich cultural life, in order to provide educational experiences for their children, and to serve as their child’s primary educator.
Catch the Cool Family Arts Festival and Cinco de Mayo Celebration is part of the Queens Museum’s Inaugural Cultural Festival, a year-long series of events that celebrate the rich and varied cultures found in Queens, the most diverse county in the nation. Building upon the spirit of our opening celebrations for our new building, we celebrate the communities in the Museum’s surrounding neighborhoods with a focus on dance, music, food, crafts, storytelling, and rituals.
