Event - Buildings of New York and the Panorama

Buildings of New York and the Panorama

03.09.22, 6:00 pm

Join us for this fun art making workshop centered around architecture, the panorama and the development of cities encouraging participants to think about a personal future.

In this course, we will review some of the panorama’s history, urban development, and processes of architectural design as it relates to repetition and pattern. Using techniques of adornment and decoration while having the philosophy of what it means to make most of what you have, we will create an architectural building for the future. In using additive sculptural methods with a brief understanding of color theory we will explore ways to transform mundane objects into our imagined skyscrapers/high rises that speak about the future and what we would like to see in the world.

This workshop will be held in the English language, ONLINE via Zoom (link to enter the class will be sent after registration) Please email: ggaraycochea@queensmuseum.org. This is a Free workshop.
