ArtAccess Open Studio programs provide opportunities for children, teens, and adults with disabilities to engage with their peers and expand artistic interests through art-making and gallery exploration activities at the Queens Museum.This month we will be thinking about identity, and characters both real and imagined!

On Saturday, October 12th, we’ll be making masks, exploring different ways to use form and texture to create unique pieces.

On Sunday, October 13th, we will continue working 3-dementially on headpieces inspired by Day of the Dead- we will also explore our Day of the Dead altar exhibition made by women in our community!

Participants are welcome to attend one or both sessions, and as always are free to work on their own personal projects.
Instructions will be available in English and in Spanish!

Each day will be broken up into two sessions:

• Our Museum Explorers morning session (for children ages 8-12) is from 11:30am-1:00pm and is a drop-in program.
• Our Open Studios afternoon session (for teens and adults) is from 2:00-4:00pm. We encourage registration so we can better accommodate you.
