We are thrilled to welcome back Street Lab’s Art Lab in the Park, a series of socially-distanced open-air art studio sessions, weekly on Wednesdays from April 14th through the end of May.
Setting up on the museum lawn in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Art Lab in the Park will offer art making stations and play time for the children of families visiting the La Jornada Food Pantry at Queens Museum. Ideal for kids ranging from 3 – 12 years old, the drop-in sessions will feature Street Lab’s signature DRAW NYC and STREET Marker programs, as well as materials and self-guided workshop activities supplied by the QM’s education department.
Masks are required, and free masks and hand-sanitizer will be provided on-site. Parents are asked to not leave their children unattended. Attendance will be first come, first served throughout the afternoon to ensure social distancing is maintained.
This event is part of Street Lab’s Inside Out initiative, focused on helping to bring the offerings of the city’s cultural institutions outside.
Made possible in part by a grant for Street Lab’s pandemic response from Con Edison.
