Join us for our Earth Day Family Celebration! This April Family Day, immerse yourself in engaging activities that celebrate Earth’s beauty and promote eco-consciousness through our drop-in workshops and storytelling sessions led by Queens-based poet Tara Jayakar.


Event Schedule:

  • Drop-in Eco Art Workshops (12:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Let your creativity soar in our art workshops guided by our teaching artists. These workshops are perfect for families and children of all ages, emphasizing sustainable materials and recycling.
  • English/Spanish Guided Tours (12:30 PM – 1:00 PM, 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM, 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM): Join one of our museum educators on an informative and engaging tour of the museum’s iconic Panorama exhibition. Tours are offered in English and Spanish.
  • Storytelling Sessions (12:00 – 12:30 PM, 1:00 – 1:30 PM): Be captivated by enchanting tales spun by Tara Jayakar, specially curated to instill a love for our planet and inspire environmental action. These sessions are tailored for young minds aged 5-9.
