For the fifth consecutive year, the Andino Festival and Chasqui will continue to educate the community about our culture by demonstrating and sharing our Andean pride through our traditions. Communities from Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile and Peru will be offering classes, gastronomy, dance performances, Andean music,  Inti Raymi rituals among others. Come with the family and meet the Andes of NY and be part of the Inti Raymi Solar (Fiesta del sol) Ceremony.

Some Andino Groups that will be performing on this day will be  Estudiantina Bolivia, Huellas Andinas, Balcon Andino, Inkarayku, Cañar Manta, Mosaicos Andinos, Ayazamana, Estampas Folkloricas del Peru, Ecuador Sumagllacta.

This event is part of the Queens Museum’s Inaugural Cultural Festival, a year-long series of events that celebrate the rich and varied cultures found in Queens, the most diverse county in the nation. Building upon the spirit of our opening celebrations for our new building, we celebrate the communities in the Museum's surrounding neighborhoods with a focus on dance, music, food, crafts, storytelling, and rituals.
