Denise Notice Scott until recently served as Executive Vice President for LISC. Over the last six years, Denise has led the programs and operations of LISC’s efforts nationally across 38 states. She also leads LISC’s National Housing, Health, Safety & Justice, and Sports & Recreation programs, as well as several other special national initiatives. Denise launched the Government Investment Program at LISC: securing several multi-million federal government contracts. These efforts positioned LISC to become the government’s leading CDFI partner to deploy federal and other governmental funds. She has also spearheaded efforts to expand the LISC footprint, particularly in the South, leading to the opening of new LISC offices in Atlanta, Charlotte, Hampton Roads, Louisville, Memphis, and Upstate South Carolina.

Prior to this, Denise was the Executive Director of LISC NYC and Vice President of the NY Equity Fund. In this position, she managed efforts to develop over 20,000 units of affordable housing, securing billions in government funding to leverage NEF’s private equity for their LIHTC funds. Denise still holds the title of Vice President of the NY Equity Fund: managing dispositions to close out funds while helping to secure resources to maintain long term affordability of the housing.

Denise organized LISC to respond to the charge to renovate over 2,000 homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. This led to LISC leading several more national disaster responses, helping to restore housing for thousands of families across the country.

Since 2016, Denise has been a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Board of Directors, and has been the Board Chair since 2019. Denise is also on the board of the NYC Housing Development Corporation and the Queens Museum.

Prior to coming to LISC, Denise served as the HUD Deputy Secretary Representative for the Clinton administration.
