World of Tomorrow Grand Finale

So this is it, the last day of the last session of the 2013 installment of the QMA Big Time Summer Art Thing for Kids!  Seeing that the summer weather was near perfect, campers spent the majority of the day outside practicing their drawing from observation skills, while the studios were transformed into a feature exhibit highlighting the work that all the students have done over the last two weeks.   When 3:45 pm rolled around, family & friends descended upon the exhibit to celebrate the artist’s on display.  The highlight was the world premiere of the stop-motion animation project that campers made called The World of Tomorrow!  The work took inspiration from the Futurama Pavilion in the 1939 World’s Fair bringing to life the children’s idea of what a city of the future would look like.  To see the video click the following link:
